Special Educational Needs and Disability offer
At All Saints, we welcome and pride ourselves on our inclusiveness. We welcome all into the All Saints' community. As our vision states, all children, no matter what their starting point or need, should leave us having achieved their potential. We aim to cater for each pupil as an individual, taking particular account of any specific needs or abilities. Compassion drives our decisions when considering the needs of all children. We love all of God's children, his creations and recognise we all have different strengths. We endeavour to ensure that all our pupils, including those identified as having a special educational need or a disability (SEND), have access to a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum and, within this context, we emphasise health and safety, accessibility, enjoyment, and achievement as well as the beginnings of responsibility for themselves and others.
We value the individuality of all our children, irrespective of ethnicity, attainment, age, disability, gender, or background and we actively seek to remove the barriers to learning and participation that can hinder or exclude individual pupils, or groups of pupils.
We are proud to have an additionally resourced provision for children who have speech, language, or communication identified as their primary need.
We acknowledge that children learn best when they feel happy and their emotional needs are being addressed. We offer additional mentoring support if a child is struggling at school, or if a child needs some social skills training. Interventions cover self-esteem, team building, friendships, social skills, counselling, anger management, or understanding emotions.
